How does climate change affect our local neighborhoods in Boston, and what does building a resilient future look like? Ride along the Greenway with The Friends of Mary Ellen Welch Greenway and The Trustees Boston Waterfront Initiative to learn about the history of East Boston, and about the future Piers Park III.
This is an inclusive and fun event open to all members of the community. Join us in whatever form of wheels you wish to bring, including but not limited to: a wheelchair, scooter, skateboard, etc. Free bike rentals for solo riders or families will be available. Registration is required.

This event is in partnership with the Friends of the Mary Ellen Greenway and the East Boston Neighborhood Health Center. This event is co-hosted by The Trustees Boston Waterfront Initiative, working to create a series of resilient and welcoming public parks on Boston’s harbor. The first park site, announced in late 2020, is Piers Park III in East Boston, adjacent to the existing Piers Park. To learn more about the future waterfront park and weigh in during this process, visit thetrustees.org/onewaterfront.
