Brazilian martial arts, salsa dancing, and family fun: New series of East Boston events!
A series of family-friendly events are launching in and around Piers Park this summer, hosted by The Trustees Boston Waterfront Initiative and community partners including the Veronica Robles Cultural Center, and Friends of the Mary Ellen Welch Greenway.
With a range of dates and activities to choose from, all are welcome to take part in the family-friendly fun, and get outdoors while learning more about East Boston and enjoying the stunning views from waterfront locations. The events kick off with a Family Festival during Eastie Week, on Saturday, July 24.
“We are excited to begin programming in East Boston, both at Massport’s Piers Park and at DCR’s Constitution Beach,” noted Vidya TIkku, Trustees Director-Greater Boston. “It’s a wonderful opportunity to get outside with family and friends this summer, enjoy free activities, and learn more about the future Piers Park III, which right now is in the design phase. We look forward to continuing to host more events this year, working closely with our community partners who bring their unique expertise to these fun events including dancing, and martial arts!”

These events are co-hosted by The Trustees Boston Waterfront Initiative, which is working to create a series of resilient and welcoming public parks on Boston’s harbor.
